daily life
At present, Wajibu Wetu Family has 25 children: 15 boys and 10 girls aged 4 to 17. Ten more children are getting support through the Outreach Program. They still live with their families and we support them with food, clothes, medicine and school fees. They can't be admitted to Wajibu Wetu for shortage of space.
All the children enjoy Jane and George's love and their teachers' care, and everybody devoted to the children helps with passionate enthusiasm and commitment.
background
Wajibu Wetu Childrens home is the reality of a long term deliberated desire.
Considered more of a vocation than a career by the couple, the home deals with the most desperate and vulnerable children; mostly orphans bereaved through HIV/AIDS. The policies of the home encourage outreach programs - creating opportunities - for relatives or willing community members to receive and bring up a child in their families with the authority of Children Officers of the particular area working together with Wajibu Wetu.
